Treats for Troops and Revelry and Honor
Treats for Troops is awesome. I have used this site before to send some goodies to a friend in Iraq, and they’re great. You can order a pre-made package or customize it. I tried to find a place that made packages with stuff that soldiers really want, and this one seems to have it.
I decided a few days ago to order a package to send to a random soldier in time for the holidays. So I went over to Treats for Troops and picked out one of their nice pre-arranged, holiday themed care packages. Hopefully my soldier, Stephanie, will enjoy her super stocking with a phone card.
Here’s the link to Treats for Troops. It’s worth every penny to send something to our soldiers in time for the holidays, and there’s still time to place an order. Do it! (Please)
As an aside, I’ve been writing a lot still, but unfortunately I can’t hit that little “publish” button because of those three menacing letters – N, D, and A. If I get the nod to put something up I will. Maybe that will be my Christmas gift!
In the meantime, I get my fix by writing silly news items for our guild’s website, Revelry and Honor.
We are still actively recruiting, and looking for people that want an organized, focused, fun-loving guild that won’t sacrifice real life for late night raids and multi hour camps.
We started out as an Everquest guild, based on the Prexus server, and we’re re-opening our doors in Vanguard after a lengthy hiatus.
Several of our members have returned, but we’re seeking more good players. We normally play from around 7 PM to 11 PM EST, but we do have people that play off hours, including several players from Europe.
We will be a raiding guild, obviously, but we also focus on forging strong friendships through organized group nights and “Operation Clean Sweep,” which is a night devoted to helping with individual member requests for guild help.
Interested? Pop over to our forums and post up an intro!
